Christmas Cake Party

On Christmas Day Yuna, Mom, & I were on a sugar high all day long because through out the day we ate both of these cakes. We got a buttercream chocolate cake & a buttercream strawberry shortcake. They were both sooo yummmyyyy!!! I have to say though the strawberry shortcake .. takes the cake :P 

Christmas Eve

Had a Christmas Eve dinner party. We didn't a conventional Christmas Eve dinner... we had curry (the best ever!), tonkatsu, chicken, fruits, macaroni, gravy & bbq meatballs, rice, & lot's & lot's of CAKE. The kids watched movies in my room while the adults watched Mr. Popper's Penguins out in the living room. Thanx so much to Carla who made a lot of the food & everyone for all the presents & such. 

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope Santa brings you everything you want!

Kanucha Lights

Last night I went to see the Kanucha Resort lights all the way out in Nago, which is the country side of Okinawa. At first we decided instead of taking the bus that we would walk & ended up getting lost & walking in a giant circle back to point A. Eventually we just gave up, rented a golf cart & asked some people for help & found it. I was expecting a bunch of different showings but it turned out to be just a pool with a bunch of white lights... not that spectacular. I guess when you are used to lights in the states it's not that great because Americans go all out for Christmas! The funny thing is we accidentally jacked someone else's golf cart because apparently they all use the same key & we took 231 when our cart was 237. Cue Riding Dirty by Chamillionare. We had to ride all the way back & give it back. Luckily the people we jacked the cart from were a super nice kawaii couple. :) They were really cool about it. On the way back Yuna & I were so exhausted we ended up K.Oed in the backseat of the car. We were supposed to get some taco rice in Kin town but we were so tired no one woke us up (thank god) & ended up at Family Mart getting chicken, apple tea & eating funyuns & bacon & cheddar chips at home. P.S. Not that it really matters but I thought I'd let everyone know that my jacket is super bulky & my face is very round this month from all the holiday foods. Nothing the gym won't fix when the holidays are over. Tis the season to be jolly!! :P

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Yesterday was my Mommy's birthday & last night we threw her a party at our house. I wish I had taken pictures of all the food that we made but we were so hungry we ended up eating it before we had the chance. T.T We had sushi, spring rolls, lumpia, shoyu chicken, & yakiniku. It was a good time, the kids watched Disney movies in my room & the adults drank & talked story in the living room. We did the usual birthday stuff singing, cake, & presents. We loveee chocolate so we bought not one but two chocolate cakes. ;) We also dressed up the cute little girl Alisha as a fairy princess because we're girlie like that & enjoy witnessing excessive moments of kawaii. :p 

Winter is Here!

Finally Okinawa is getting cold! Bustin' out the winter digs! Here's Yuna & I in our winter gear. I do love winter fashion. ^.^ I love bulkin' up in lot's of warm fuzzy sweaters. ^o^

Christmas Shopping

Sorry for the crappy iphone pix. Yesterday I went shopping with my girl Zarinah at Naha Main Place.There were so many people >o< We were trying to get our Christmas shopping done.. almost there but not quite. We got hungry & ended up ordering a holiday chicken nugget set... that was regrettable haha soooo manyyyyy nuggettsssss & larggeee friessss. I bought a new Vivitix x Sanrio iphone holder. On the way home we got lost for a good 30 minutes but because I have a good sense of direction we made it through ;p We also stopped by the marine base & a store at American Village called Vanilla Essence which is one of my faves. I bought a grey jumpsuit for a cute outfit on the weekends. :) All in all a successful shopping day!
