Hello Kitty Sweets!

In Taiwan I went to the Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe. Being a serious Hello Kitty junkie I had heard of it & seen it all over the internet & was dying to go! On my last day in Taiwan my mother & I went to eat lunch there. I was so excited..but when I got there I was pretty disappointed. Although in the pictures it looks pretty cute, it was pretty ghetto. The seats were beat up, the waitresses uniforms were ripped & dirty, our waitress was wearing a cough mask, the girls making the cakes that you could see through the window were wearing gloves but playing with their hair & face (err yuckkk!), the picture frames above my seat were empty, & most of the food with the exception of my mom's clam spaghetti (delicious) was horrible. I didn't get the princess feeling I get that comes with Hello Kitty at all, but it was definitely an experience! However I did go upstairs to look around & it seemed a little nicer up there. I don't regret it I just won't be going there again.. I guess I will continue my search for the perfect HK cafe. ^.^ Also although I would never eat their cakes after seeing those girls touching their hair & such with their decorating gloves, they were really fancy & cute, so I will post pictures of them next time. :)

Forever 20... what?

My favorite food in Taiwan was shoronpo, a steam bun with different kinds of meat inside depending on the type you get. Chicken, pork, beef, veggie, whatever! They were so delicious, cheap, & filled me up pretty quickly. I also came across a store called Forever 26.. HILARIOUS. There are so many fake stores like that over there, I had a ball spotting them everywhere.

Tea Seminar

If anybody knows me then they know that I drink tea every day or I go crazy!!! Like some people need their morning coffee, I need my daily tea! In Taiwan I went to a tea seminar where a tea expert taught everyone about different kinds of tea. In Taiwan they have teas to help you cleanse your body of toxins, help you lose weight, help you stay beautiful, etcetcetc. I bought the one that helps you lose weight &  I also bought these lotus candied seeds, which were so yummy & great with tea. :) Also the last pic is just me being a goof. 

Temple of Love

More temples! I went to another temple & this time I prayed to the God of Romance. I haven't had any real romance lately so I figured why not take a shot at asking the gods for help?! Couldn't hurt right. ;) Also to make payment to the gods my mother & I threw some of this gold paper into a fire. It is god's money! $$$
