Butterfly House

On Friday I went to a butterfly house up in the country for a kindergarten & first grade field trip. It took about an hours drive to get there but it beat working in the classroom. It was a very beautiful place with a great view of the ocean & plenty of flowers outside. Inside there were so many butterflies flying about casually, it blew my mind. The kids loved it & I had a lot of fun teaching them how to properly hold the butterflies without touching their wings. It's funny because I learned how to hold butterflies when I was in first grade & still remembered how to do it. It felt good to pass that information on. I felt like a little kid again & I can't wait to go back on my own time. :)

It's That Time of the Year Again...

It's that time of the year again... when my favorite cookies are on sale! I love Girl Scout Cookies. I was a Brownie myself & my mom went through all that bull crap helping me get all of my badges. I have to say I appreciate the parents who put that extra effort into their children's learning & activities & am always ready to buy some cookies when I see those girls working hard to sell sell sell! Plus these cookies are the shiiiii--- !! I also found this Lipsmacker Girl Scout Cookie lipbalm & gloss set & couldn't resist buying it. They had a whole bunch of other cookie flavors that I hope to try in the near future. Yum!

Climax Cafe

Last Sunday I went to Climax Cafe for the first time with my mom. It was actually a lot better then I had expected. The service was good & the food was pretty tasty as well. Mom ate beef stroganoff with omelette & I had a basil nut spaghetti. I also had a caramel macchiato which was a bit too strong for me, but that's probably just because I'm more of a tea drinker then a coffee person. There were a lot of Americans there as well as Japanese people. Apparently it's a chain restaurant. Their other menu choices looked pretty delicious as well, I hope to go there again soon. :)

Good Grades Celebration!

My mom & I will find any reason to have a champagne & treats party. This weekend we celebrated my good college grades, an A & a B in my two college classes. We had some Andre's Extra Dry which is cheap but delicious! Our food consisted of potato skins, spinach artichoke dip, buffalo wings, chex mix, jalapeno poppers, & the cream cheese salmon my mom made. While being fatties we finished up Pretty Little Liars season one. There's no one more fun to hang out with then Mommy! :)

Puss In Boots

Just watched Puss In Boots. I LOVED IT.
I couldn't stop laughing, it was so clever. I almost died when the grey cat kept saying, "Ooooh." It was cool to see Puss's story since in Shrek he's this mysterious kitty. The way they incorporated cat characteristics was so realistic & hilarious. There's also some awesome famous people doing the voices....Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zack Galifiankis, Billy Bob Thornton, & Amy Sedaris.  I can't wait to watch it again. :) If you haven't seen it I definitely recommend it. Strawberry Fields Forever!

Last week at work we took a field trip to a strawberry farm. The dude tried to tell the teachers not to eat too much and watch the kids HAH well didn't they know I was a rebel? I dipped my sneak picked strawberries into the ichigo milk I brought in preperation. I'm a g ;) Mmm they were so sweet. The entire time I had Strawberry Fields Forever by the Beatles stuck in my head.

Seawall Birthday Party

February 25th, 2012 I got my girls together & went out to celebrate my 21st birthday at the seawall. We went to a sushi  restaurant called Sushi Zen. The food was good but they had this UNBELIEVABLE policy that if you bring a Japanese person in you have to pay 3000 yen which is about $30 cover charge. Basically the owner who by the way is Japanese (um what?), is a racist & made this place an all American place. I ended up fighting with them a bit & told them that they should have at least told us this before we had ordered our food so therefore we would either cancel all those orders we made & leave or they'd just have to deal with it. The girl lied to her boss & we stayed but I felt bad for our Japanese friends & I myself being half Japanese was highly offended. We still had fun but I won't EVER be going there again. The food may have been good but it's not like there aren't other sushi restaurants. I mean this is Japan. On top of that their service was horrible & the rolls kept coming in dirtier then that last. After that we hit two bars. Infiniti & Eclipse. They had a singer at Infiniti which was interesting. Also at my favorite bar Eclipse the owner Aki (who I adore btw!) made me a birthday drink with a firework in it & had a dolphin made from banana in it. Too cool. All in all it was a very fun night!! <3
